Service & support

Support that lasts
as long as the pump.

Selection advice before you buy, guidance during installation and genuine spares and servicing for years after. Talk to the people who built your pump.

01What we do

Services.

01

Selection & sizing

We size the pump from your chemical, concentration, flow and back-pressure, and choose the pump-head material to match.

02

Installation guidance

Recommended layouts for negative and positive suction, injection points, foot valves and anti-siphon protection.

03

Commissioning & calibration

Priming, stroke setting and flow verification with a calibration column so the plant starts at the correct dose.

04

Genuine spares

Diaphragms, valve balls, seals, O-rings, foot and injection valves, tubing and service kits for our pumps.

05

Repair & servicing

Pumps returned to our Chennai workshop are inspected, repaired with original parts and re-tested before dispatch.

06

Complete dosing systems

Tanks, agitators, pumps, piping and calibration columns engineered and tested as one unit.

02Getting a quotation

What to send us.

Share these details by phone, email or the enquiry form and our engineers will recommend a model and send a quotation.

  1. ChemicalName, concentration and any solids or gas content
  2. FlowRequired dose in LPH (normal and maximum)
  3. PressureDischarge / back-pressure at the injection point in kg/cm²
  4. SuctionFlooded (positive) or suction lift, and lift height
  5. PowerAvailable supply: 220 V single phase or 415 V three phase
  6. DutyContinuous or intermittent, single or duty / standby
  7. SystemTank capacity, agitator and accessories needed, if any
  8. QuantityNumber of pumps or systems, and delivery location

03Installation good practice

Right first time.

Follow the installation drawings in each data sheet. These points cover most site issues.

A

Suction side

Keep suction lift within 1.5 m, use the foot valve with strainer, and keep the suction line short, straight and free of air pockets.

B

Discharge side

Fit the injection (anti-siphon) valve at the dosing point and support the delivery tubing so no load rests on the pump head.

C

Setting the dose

Start at full stroke, then reduce stroke length and speed to the required flow. Adjust stroke length only while the pump is running.

D

Verify & maintain

Check the actual flow with a calibration column, and clean valves and strainers at regular intervals.

04Troubleshooting

Quick checks.

SymptomLikely causeWhat to do
No outputAir lock in suction line, empty tank, foot valve clogged, or suction lift too highPrime the pump, refill the tank, clean the foot valve and check the lift is within 1.5 m
Low or uneven flowStroke length or speed set too low, dirty valve balls or seats, choked strainerRe-set stroke length and speed while running, clean valves and strainer, verify with a calibration column
Output higher than setSiphoning because discharge pressure is lower than suctionFit or service the injection (anti-siphon) valve
Leakage at the headLoose head bolts, worn O-ring or diaphragmTighten evenly; replace the O-ring or diaphragm with a genuine service kit
Pump runs but is noisyLoose mounting or pipe strain on the headSecure the pump to its base and support the suction and delivery lines

05FAQ

Frequently asked
questions.

What is the difference between electromagnetic and motor-driven pumps?

Electromagnetic (solenoid) pumps such as FE-A, FE-AA Auto Dose and FE-CD have no motor or gearbox. They use little power and are ideal for low flows up to about 20 LPH. Motor-driven pumps such as FE-M use a motor and worm gear for high-capacity, continuous duty, up to 500 LPH on the FE-M-58C.

How is the dosing rate adjusted?

On FE-A and FE-AA pumps, output is set by both stroke length and stroke speed, giving a 10:1 turn-down ratio. Stroke length should only be adjusted while the pump is running. FE-M pumps use a manual stroke length adjuster.

Which pump-head material should I choose?

PP and PVC suit most water-treatment chemicals such as hypochlorite and antiscalants. PTFE is used for aggressive acids and solvents, and SS-316 for chemicals that need a metallic head. Tell us the chemical and concentration and we will recommend the material.

Can the pump lift chemical from a tank below it?

Yes. Our electromagnetic pumps are designed for negative suction with up to 1.5 m lift when installed with the recommended foot valve. For viscous or gassing chemicals, a flooded (positive) suction layout is preferred.

Why is an injection (anti-siphon) valve needed?

It prevents chemical from siphoning into the line when the discharge pressure is low, and stops process fluid from flowing back to the pump. It is supplied as a standard accessory.

Do you supply complete dosing systems?

Yes. We build ready-to-connect dosing systems with a solution tank, agitator, single or duty / standby pumps, valves, piping and a calibration column, all tested before dispatch.

Are spares available for older pumps?

We stock diaphragms, valve balls, seals, O-rings, foot and injection valves for our pumps, and can service pumps at our Chennai workshop.

Where can I find the technical specifications?

Every model has its own data sheet on this website, with ratings, materials of construction and installation drawings, available to view online or download as a PDF.

Not sure which model fits?

Tell us your chemical, flow and pressure. We will size the pump.
