02Why Focus Engineerrs

Engineered for accuracy.
Backed for the long run.

Plant builders and operators choose us for pumps that dose what the data sheet says, and for support that does not end at delivery.

01

Two decades, one speciality

Since our start we have worked in a single field: the controlled feeding of chemicals. That focus shows in every pump.

02

Made in our own workshop

Drive units, liquid ends and assemblies are built in-house in Chennai, so quality is controlled from component to finished pump.

03

Every unit flow-tested

Each pump is tested against its rated flow and pressure before dispatch, not sampled in batches.

04

Published technical data

Every model has a data sheet with ratings, materials of construction and installation drawings. No guesswork at the design stage.

05

Material choice for your chemical

PP, PVC, PTFE and SS-316 pump heads, with valves, balls and seals selected to suit acids, alkalis, oxidisers and solvents.

06

Support after installation

Commissioning guidance, genuine spares and servicing from the people who built the pump.

09FAQ

Common questions.

All questions & support
What is the difference between electromagnetic and motor-driven pumps?

Electromagnetic (solenoid) pumps such as FE-A, FE-AA Auto Dose and FE-CD have no motor or gearbox. They use little power and are ideal for low flows up to about 20 LPH. Motor-driven pumps such as FE-M use a motor and worm gear for high-capacity, continuous duty, up to 500 LPH on the FE-M-58C.

How is the dosing rate adjusted?

On FE-A and FE-AA pumps, output is set by both stroke length and stroke speed, giving a 10:1 turn-down ratio. Stroke length should only be adjusted while the pump is running. FE-M pumps use a manual stroke length adjuster.

Which pump-head material should I choose?

PP and PVC suit most water-treatment chemicals such as hypochlorite and antiscalants. PTFE is used for aggressive acids and solvents, and SS-316 for chemicals that need a metallic head. Tell us the chemical and concentration and we will recommend the material.

Can the pump lift chemical from a tank below it?

Yes. Our electromagnetic pumps are designed for negative suction with up to 1.5 m lift when installed with the recommended foot valve. For viscous or gassing chemicals, a flooded (positive) suction layout is preferred.

Not sure which model fits?

Tell us your chemical, flow and pressure. We will size the pump.
